Oversight
Elfe is run by a joint research unit of the French National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED), the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the National Blood Service (EFS). A steering committee made up of representatives from the different partner institutions is responsible for project governance.
The study’s scientific aspects are monitored by a scientific council made up of independent experts from France and abroad.

The Scientific Project group includes members of the Elfe unit and researchers from the different thematic groups who help to shape the ongoing project. INED’s ethics committee advises the unit on ethical issues as and when requested.
